Fathers Day Gifts – Picking your father's Clues

You were more than guilty of giving your parents hints about what you wanted for your birthday and for Christmas and while at the time they told you that your presents were supposed to be a surprise, they’re now doing the same thing. Come dad’s birthday, Christmas or fathers day, he starts giving you obvious or subtle hints about what he wants. Most of the hints that dads tend to give are however misinterpreted because while they’re looking for a little fun or relaxation, kids are looking at price tags and wondering what they can afford.

Let’s say your dad starts talking about some golf course or he’s been deliberately showing you a newspaper ad to some lake resort; it doesn’t necessarily mean he wants to learn to play golf or that he’s looking to go on a vacation. It can mean anything like him wanting to spend some quality time with you playing a sport (like when you were a kid) or to enjoy a small outdoor activity.

The easiest way to tell is to pay some attention the personality of your father. He is the type to play golf? He is also a tournament take place? If he does and you have not just bought golf lessons, you'll feel stupid if he tells you that it will not go.

If you are a father, his mind is very car that probably has something to connect to the machine, but instead of surprising him with a new paint (already applied and dried on his car) was the best thing is to ask him like that he had in mind. It can destroythe element of surprise but if you end up tinkering with his car and he doesn’t like it, it’s likely that the rest of the year will be very unpleasant.

If you find it absolutely impossible to pick up what dad’s trying to tell you and you still want to surprise him, you need to go with a failsafe choice like food. Food themed gifts like fathers day gift baskets are always a good choice because most men like food related gifts. Gift baskets or fruit bouquets both make for a good fathers day gift option. There’s a lot of variety to choose from. Gift baskets come in a lot of food and beverage themes and fruit bouquets feature a huge variety of fruit. They’re made with fresh strawberries, pineapples, apples, oranges, grapes, bananas, melons and lots of other fruits. The fruit can also be dipped in chocolate and is arranged in sports themed containers.

If you’re good at picking up on the hints your dad gives you, then buying him a fathers day gift should be easy but if you are in doubt, experiment, find something you usually want.
